Aundria Sheppard Morgan

Is the author of Cross My Heart and Hope to Die (2004), a memoir told with unflinching candor of love, tragedy, and hope. “Writing has always been my lifeline and serves as the tool to make sense of a world I don’t always get.” Smiling Is Not Resilience (current work in progress) is more than a sequel to her first memoir; it provides a social responsibility perspective that challenges the “mantras of hope” we utter in response to pain and suffering—our own, others, societal. Aundria is a native of Brooklyn, New York and currently lives in Minneapolis.

  1. Hi Aundria, I am just familiarizing myself to your work. I learned about you in the Twin Cities Black Women’s Writing group organized by Carol Holbrook. I look forward to reading your work.
